Essential Parts to an Aluminum Chain Link Fence
Tension Bars
Tension bars are essential to keeping fabric taught for any chain link fence. They weave vertically through the end of the fabric and are attached to a terminal post, stretching the chain link mesh and keeping it in place.
Shop NowTension Bands
Tension bands are used to attach the tension bar to the terminal post. When the fabric is stretched, this fitting is necessary to ensure the tension bar and the chain link mesh stay in place. The long tabs allow for easy attachment.
Shop NowRail End Caps
When the horizontal rails reach a terminal post, they require a rail end cap for the rail to receive the fitting so it can be secured into place. Without these end caps, there would be no way to attach the rails to the post for stability.
Shop NowBrace Bands
Brace bands are the fittings that are used to attach the rail end cap to the terminal post. They are similar to tension bands, but they have shorter tabs are oriented to the center of the post in order to keep the fence line straight.
Shop NowLoop caps
When a horizontal top rail reaches a line post, a loop cap is necessary for the rail to pass through. Without loop caps, the pipes for the top rails would need to be cut every time a line post is reached. This fitting allows for easy passage.
Shop NowPost Caps
Post caps are used to keep debris and rain out of the terminal post. They simply sit on top of the pipe being used for end or corner posts, and provide a barrier from the elements. Post caps also improves how the fence looks.
Shop NowFence Ties
To maintain stability for the fabric, fence ties are used to securely attach the fabric to posts and rails. It's always a good idea to utilize fence ties, especially for long runs of fence to prevent the mesh from moving or sagging.
